Using CX asiamiles to upgrade BA WT+

Booked and paid for BA WT+ for a Singapore - London round trip in October/November this year and trying to use my asiamiles to upgrade to Club for 30,000miles.

Call asiamiles on their (thankfully toll free.!!) number in Hong Kong daily only to be told there is no seats available.. Whilst the flight is still over 6 months away (thats an awful lot of phone calls and an awful waste of their reservation staff time.!) I am not hopeful as I had a similar experience last year and was never able to get any availability.

I am guessing but would assume BA will allow flight waitlisting by their own program members so its pure pot luck for other OW miles users trying to get any availability. My question is does anybody know what time of day or night does BA seat availability get reviewed and updated and more seats for redemption released as flights get nearer... or is this a continuous process at any time...

Just re-read my post and realised this should probably go in the BA forum...oh well.
