Need help with advance seating
I am going to be flying with a group, SFO - BKK thru HKG, 3/12 and I would like to secure a seat in advance as this seems to be a full flight. I called Cathay and they told me that since I was with a group, there is no advance seat selection, so I would have to make my request at check-in. I am not looking for a bulkhead seat or anything special; I just cannot fathom the thought of sitting in a middle seat on a crowded aircraft for 14.5 hours. Do any of you loyal CX flyers have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think CX will accept advance seat reservations unless you area on a full Y or B class ticket. Travelling on a group ticket, I doubt whether you would be ticketed in these classes. On the other hand, if you have some elite status in MPC, you should be able to get the advance seat assignment.
