90 mins is tight but YMMV
90 mins in Karachi is tight turnaround especially if someone gets suspicious about mileage runs and you start having to explain it all.

I'd check into the visa situation though! I know for India, even though you're connecting, they want you to have a visa. Same might be for Pakistan.

In India they need you to exit and enter most of the time
In India, they do not usuallyy allow you to use the transit lounge and want you to exit and re-enter. However, I know of someone who talked his way into a turn around (had the boarding passes pre-issued elsewhere). You can use the transit lounge in BOM or MAA if going to or arriving from DXB (using CX or TG respectively)

I had to use MR to explain a short stay
I agree - it does not make sense to bring up MR on a turnaround flt. However, sometimes the local airlines staff or immigration authorities question you on the short turnaround (they are used to intnl pax staying at least a day or catching a connectin flt not the same flt back). Hence my advice about explanation of MR rather than get strip searched for a drug search or become a terror suspect.

The best mileage run I did was from London to Muscat in First Class on British Airways. This was part of my RTW oneworld First Class trip to try all oneworld First Class product.
What was interesting was the fact that when I arrived in Muscat, I went to transfer desk to get my return boarding pass to London and had requested the agent to make sure that my lugguage that had arrived from London will be transfered onto the aircraft. You should have seen his face when I said that. He was absolutely horrified to learn that I flew First Class down to Muscat and then back to London on one single trip. I guess I wasn't going to reveal my secret mileage run trip but I had no choice as I had a check-in luggage which I wouldn't want to store it in LHR (expensive).
I would not recommend anyone taking this trip in Economy Class on BA as it can be a rather looooooooooooooooooooong flight to earn those miles in cattle class.
Have a pleasant mileage run.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. Has anyone done the BKK-KHI turnaround recently? Is a visa required for transit? When I flew a couple weeks back, I was looking at the travel information on the IFE and it stated no. Just wanted to confirm this.
