CX flight on AA ticket
Will be taking a CX flight from HKG-LAX in economy class in Sept but on an AA ticket (as I'm flying with AA onto Orlando and AA ticketing was cheaper). This is my first flight in economy for almost 2 yrs and first using AA ticketing.
question:
On the CX flight to LAX, would CX treat me as a diamond member (i.e. in terms of priority for op-upgrade etc) or would the fact that I'm boarding using an AA ticket make a difference?

Is it a cx flight number but issued by AA or is it an AA flight number? I have had both some times buying the cx flight number from AA is cheaper and I have done so. however if you do it this way my understanding is that aa is acting as a travel agent and selling you a ticket if your flight is the aa code share I have always found this to be more expensive than purchasing the cx H class ticket. but as far as status goes im sure cx will recognize their own emerald members regardless of their ticket type, im sure that this would go for those flying on redemption tickets as well

You can show them your OW elite card
Even if you are using your FF acct on this segment and your BP shows no status, you can definitely flash any other OW status card and they will treat well during boarding and at the gate. I am not sure if this is part of the rules, but I have found CX to be fairly good at recognizing OW elites. If the elite is one of their own flying on a codeshare for business reasons or whatever, most agents seem to be very sympathetic.

Especially important for MPC members as CX revenue control will process these passengers first. Why isn't your FF card number on the BP in the first place?
What are the priorities?? MPC Diamond, Gold, Silver then OW Elites? or MPC Dimond, Gold, OW Elites then to Silver? For ops-up
