Only one in F...again

Took the HKG-TPE-NRT flight today, and once again (same as April) I was the only one in F, this time for the whole flight (last time someone joined me for the TPE-NRT leg).

Lots of fun with the crew, although we had some problems with the IFE...but, nothing some good drinks couldn't cure.

You mean I could have been the one to have joined you on that flight?

Actually I've delayed my flights by one day.. and will be doing the NRT turnaround on Friday.

Cheers!

We would have had a blast! CX 505 from NRT to HKG was also great (only 4 people on board). I tried the Kaiseki meal + Onion Soup, Stir Fry Beef and a little shrip, plus Cheesecake for desert, and had the best of both worlds.

The crew could not believe I was just flying to Tokyo and back for the day.

Long day but lot's of fun...would have been great to see you.

My crew CX504 couldn't believe that I was turning around on CX451 and then connecting to JNB either!

They ran out of the Kaiseki meal by the time they got to me... and when I said that the reason I was flying to NRT was to sample the Kaiseki meal.. they someone wranggled one from of the other passengers... she said that it's because that I'm a Diamond member.. and well... I felt bad.. because I certainly didn't expect her to take the meal from someone else...

Anyway... I got a couple of phone numbers and when the girls come to Vancouver, we'd be hanging out!

Got the new PJs today. Like the color combo of Black with Hot Green accent...not sure there's anything different/better with them vs old tan/red ones...but thanx for the heads up.

The material is also not as 'sticky' as the last one. I think this one has more cotton that the tan/burgundy ones. Now let's see how they fare in the wash!

The tan/burgundy ones are 100% cotton, so it's hard to imagine how they could have crammed much more cotton in there.

The tan ones seem a tiny bit softer to me...but I really don't see much difference...

Change of color is refreshing. The black and lime green is an attractive combo.

Sure beats those flimsy BA gray things.

I am taking my first QF flight today from LAX-JFK...I am interested in comparing theirs.

Yes, CX is Better than BA

havn't been to FT for 6 months but just wanted to second...
My Mum who is no regular flyer and really not demanding at all, but even she can notice the big difference in terms of the cabin environment, meal etc between BA and CX.
According to her, her amenity kit of CX is more useful than BA's although BA's bag does looks very attractive. (She loved the La Pairie one from CX but oops no longer there)

For PJ... funny that BA DO NOT GIVEN PJ to my Mum, since I was in J at that time.. I don't know why...

P.S. the comparsion is based on:
CX HKG-LHR and YYZ-HKG
BA LHR-YYZ
At December 2003

I think it's because LHR-YYZ is a day flight, and BA will only give out the PJs WHEN YOU ASK FOR THEM in First Class. They will automatically give you one if you're on a night flight.
