CX156 22 May

As has been widely reported, it looks like CX 156 operating overnight BNE-HKG hit some nasty turbulence over the South China Sea on Saturday morning just as crew were preparing the breakfast service.

Thoughts are with all who suffered injuries and in particular the crew who are often disproportionately affected by these events, given proximity to the galley and carts.

Edit: the incident occurred on morning of 23 May.

the bird used is still not back to service, wonder if this is just cleanup effort or structural integrity check. it dropped 1200ft over the short period just over Philippines around 8:54 UTC.
