I totally understand the frustration, but there's no priority for F pax or DM with showers and I would never expect this. But I'm also surprised that there were 8 passengers in the queue for a shower, I've never had to wait. Perhaps this has something to do with the huge increase in transit passengers over the past few weeks with the difficulties in the Middle East.
The Pier F showers are nothing special and I would have asked the agent (and perhaps they should be offered) to ring and check whether it may be quicker to pop over to Pier J or the Bridge.

The shower situation (for business class or equivalent status) isnt good.
Up until two years ago, our maximum wait was 5 minutes.
April last year and the queue was an hour in the Pier. We didnt have that long and managed to jump the queue on the promise wed be very quick. We were.
Yesterday, we waited 45 minutes at the Bridge.
There are no J showers at the main end of the terminal (the Deck is currently F only and the Wing has no J showers).

i agree that it is very hard to get a shower.
J shower is very limited.
but i think this is something that wont be solve.
because even centurion lounge in USA dont have a lot shower room and very eay to need to wait for almost 2hour , and a lot of USA oneworld lounge is also need a very long wait.
LAX J is always 1-2hour wait at night in peak hour.
LAX F shut down half shower room at 9 or 10 , last month i was there waited for more than 1 hours and to find out that they will close half after certain time.
so i am thinking may be shower room is costing too much to run , so most lounge just limit the amount of shower room.
if my guess is correct. then i think there is no hope they are willing to build more shower room.

The Deck definitely still has showers, I've just used them two days ago.
Which reminds me why I don't like them - the lights make things so hot that you're sweaty immediately once you're out of the shower, unless you shower in relatively cold water.

Perhaps due to the closure of shower rooms in Wing J? I remember they used to have shower rooms on the lower floor, not sure when it was closed. I wonder if the new Wing J is going to reinstate shower rooms. The current long queue at peak hours is definitely unacceptable.
