How does retroclaim works for OW members flight?

Can I also not quote CX number on say QF flights, and retroclaim it through CX after the flight?

Yes, you can. To retroclaim an OW flight, you need to provide an e-ticket number and a bording pass copy, maybe also an e-ticket copy.

Not sure if anyone brought it up yet for Silver lounge passes. That explains the change of wording for lounge pass available to "members" from earlier this year.

New: Earn Silver milestone benefits (currently referred as Mid-status benefits): Reach 450 Status Points and unlock two lounge passes to our award-winning Business class lounges, for yourself or travel companions when travelling together on a Cathay Pacific or oneworld flight

Current:
Before flights that are marketed or operated by Cathay Pacific

Terms and conditions:
For Green and Silver Members, lounge passes are only available to Members or their travel companion on flights operated or marketed by Cathay Pacific.

Wow, did someone from CX read this post? They just removed the oneworld reference for Silver milestone benefits.
Introducing the enhanced Cathay membership programme | Cathay HK.

The GO tab says, "Access to our award-winning Business class lounges or partner airline lounges for yourself and your guest when travelling together on Cathay Pacific or a oneworld airline." I think we need a clarification from CX. Does that mean SL will only have access to CX-operated lounges starting from 2027, or do "partner airline lounges" refer to the general oneworld Sapphire benefit? https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_...fits-2027.html does not make this distinction.

Some here have previously thought that SL will lose lounge access. I never thought that would happen to CX-operated lounges (since CX has already accounted for SLs when designing lounge capacity and since that is the biggest selling point for SL) but thought CX might cut 3rd-party lounge access to SLs.

the updated wording confirmed SL members continue to have partner lounge access when travelling with CX in 2027 like currently.

Seems more like a typo than something they’re genuinely offering.

Is it not the case that Silvers have historically received access only to CX lounges, not those of Oneworld members?

SLs receive lounge access prior to any CX flight (except URC). If there is a CX lounge at that airport, that is the one. If not, it is usually the same one that GOs and J pax get sent to, although there are exceptions (JFK). For example, when departing from SYD, SLs get access to the QF J lounge when the departing flight is CX, but not if the departing flight is QF.

Now, this is much clearer. CX is not taking something away from SLs.

Does anyone know that retro-claiming 2025 flights in January will indeed count towards the 2026 total qualifying for 2027 membership?

It's a mouthful even typing this question out...

has to be done within 6 months from the flight, so probably not

apologies. I meant retro-claiming flights from now until December 2025 in 2026. Is that confirmed to work? If not, I might just move some non-essential travel to January instead.

As a QR plat who flies CX regionally a lot, but not very often on Long Haul, I'm struggling whether or not to switch camp 🫠

At this point, nobody knows. Need to have someone to do a retro claim in Jan to see if the status points will show up on the 2027 tracker. Hopefully it will.

Very confused about the membership time:

Say my wife is about to hit GOLD this Nov, so her membership finishes Nov 2026, does that mean he membership will actually end on Dec 2026 instead?

If we delay one of her flight and make her qualify for Gold in Jan 2026, which previously means her membership finishes Jan 2027. Under the new system, they will make it Dec 2027?

I have been advised of my 1 year complimentary Diamond membership.

If you obtain Gold in Nov 2025, you will be Gold until Nov 2026.
If you obtain Gold in Jan 2026, you will be Gold until Dec 2026 (any status achieved during 2026 will last only until Dec 2026).
Your status for 2027 will be determined by the total number of status points you earn in calendar year 2026.

scai Oct 19, 2025 11:59 pm

Under new system, membership are determined at year beginning. But let's say if a silver member in 2027 (yes assuming he only gets 300 points in 2026), already earns 600 points between 2027 Jan to 2027 Mar. Does he get Gold immediately in 2027 Mar? Or he needs to wait until 2028 Jan?

Update - Ah, think I found the answer in FAQ, immediate upgrade when points hit 600, and it stays at least until 2029.1.31

So 20 years of being DM earns me 3-4 years of complimentary DM status? Lifetime GO or Silver would be more appreciated.
