Downgraded Y Snacks?

I have flown CX long-haul Y a few times over the last couple of years, and I usually found the snack selection to be very good in Y. The snack basket in the galley always had palmiers and macadamia shortbread which were the 2 best snacks out of the bunch by a long distance. I recently flew CX Y long haul in July after about a year without flying CX, on the same route as always (AKL-HKG return), and found that the palmiers and shortbread were nowhere to be seen, and had been replaced by some rather sad salt and vinegar 'thins'. Most of the other snacks were the same, but I really found the selection to be quite a downgrade on what they used to have, as enjoying a palmier or shortbread was synonymous with a nice CX long haul for me.

While I know this is quite a trivial matter, does anyone know if this downgrade in Y snack selection is a permanent change by CX, or is it just an unlucky case where those snacks weren't loaded onto those flights, but are still on most long-hauls?
