Compensation Clinic

Just boarded cx162 from Sydney to Hong Kong, seat 23k is broken... The armrest pops up itself. Aircraft B-KQL which has only been renovated for one to two months I believe. And sorry for off topic, does anyone know how to ask for a compensation in this case? Help would be much appreciated 🙏, thanks.

Sorry maybe not clear enough. The seat was broken and CX moved me to 23G from 23K. The armrest of that seat won't go down so they blocked that seat off and moved me.

Armrest stays in this position

That is a photo of 23K.
You were moved to 23G in the same cabin, a working seat?
What is the compensation for? You didn't get you original seat?

I don't think they would give you anything for that. In the eyes of CX, you got moved to a better seat. If you were sitting in the first row and got moved to the last row in the cabin because of a technical issue and didn't receive your preferred meal choice because of that, then perhaps it's a different story.

Just boarded a flight PEK-HKG in paid J, and the entire seat, IFE, charging, Wifi doesn't work for the whole plane. (Some kind of electric issue, its an old A330 in flatbed J config).

While I'm currently worried if the flying components are working, I'm also definitely annoyed and if we manage to make it back to HK, I plan on complaining about this....!

I've seen a lot of examples of broken seat and IFE individually, but what would be appropriate compensation for if everything is dead? TIA!

Edit: typo
