CX FA Training

Hi there,

So when I was in CX’s flight attendant induction training in Oct 2023, failed the evacuation assessment, got told by my instructor and safety training school manager that I have a last chance to do it again the next day. On the next day, sat through all the sessions and my name didn’t get called out, then got off-board at the end of the day.

Had to return all uniform and luggages, which was received on the 2nd week of safety training. Uniform fitting was done on the 1st week. Doesn’t the process feel weird?

I reapplied, got invited back for interview twice, Jun 2024 and Jan 2025, got rejected on both occasions.

I felt humiliated especially when in training school because my instructor literally announced in front of the class I failed and tomorrow is my last chance to redo the assessment, then training school manager did the same but in private, yet no last chance was given.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation as mine or anything that comes close? It would be great if any anyone could provide some advice, tips, suggestions and clarification. I would love to rejoin on good terms.

welcome but you came to wrong forum community. This is place we discuss habit of frequent flying, not a Linkedin or career forum to discuss recruitment of the airline.

this is probably not CX related but did you analyze where you screwed up. If you made the same mistake at each sitting, where would you land yourself.

Hi! I came across your post, and it really resonates with me as I’m in a similar situation. I also went through Cathay Pacific’s training (may 2023) and didn’t pass. I was told I could reapply after six months, so I submitted my resume in February 2025, and I’m still waiting to hear back.

I was curious—when you reapplied, did you have to go through the online assessment and English test again, or was it just the final interview? I’m trying to get an idea of what to expect in the reapplication process.

I’d really appreciate any insight or advice you can share. Thanks so much!

Moderator note: Fakecd said it well. This is a community for frequent flyers, for passengers to discuss their experiences and questions. I suspect there are other places to discuss hiring situations. I’m going to close this since it’s off topic for us. Best to you both.
