CX redemption
Hello,
i’ve found zero availability from hkg to sfo and vice versa even as far out as possible. Redemptions seats are routed through japan now. Does anyone know if they are no longer releasing seats for redemption via this route? I checked BA using avios and same thing, no availability for direct flight.

I think there must be a bug with BA Avios redemptions on CX. I've been searching for HKG-TYO for the last few weeks and occasionally a ton of availability will pop up (i.e. multiple seats across multiple flights in economy, premium economy and business) and then one minute later it's all gone? I'm sure they're popular routes but disappearing that quickly seems unlikely?
But remember that it is possible to setup award space alerts for many airlines.
I doubt that it is possible for CX/BA.

Yeah there's definitely a bug. 5 mins ago I saw all this availability on my route, but upon refreshing it had all disappeared...
Asked BA a few times on Twitter but they don't seem to have any idea.

It seems like BA has fixed the glitches, so no more award availability. Traffic out of and return to HKG that week is expected to heavy due to some school’s mid term break and Mainland’s golden week holiday.
