Recent CX J TPAC experience...
If I recall, there had been recent reviews of underwhelming or greatly diminished CX service on some TPACs?
So, just thought I'd relay my recent TPAC flight. I was flying in J and the cabin crew were excellent and all seemed ebullient on "welcoming back" the general tourist pax to their flights. I can't recall a more friendly IFM (the one in black attire) who not only introduced herself to pax but also dropped by during midflight, addressed me by name, and inquired if all is to my satisfaction or if there's anything they could get for me. I had a late dinner and wasn't particularly hungry and declined dinner service (obviously, wouldn't have done so if this were F), but several of the FAs in my area dropped by periodically to inquire if I've changed my mind, would like something, and to ask if I'd like them to reserve something for me closer to landing.
By the way, the burger is back on the order on demand list! While I personally weren't able to partake in any of the food offerings, I can only assume given the copious amount of food consumed all around me, it must have been very good!
Great flight and will have no hesitation whatsoever opting for CX. While this surely has become a broken record, they're so much better than Western airlines.
PS - Oh, if anyone's interested, there were PDBs & hot towels.

I flew TPAC recently both ways.
Excellent inflight service both ways. As a DM, they also come first before asking others to ensure choice of first meal.
HKG-LAX there was no burger option, so I was a little disappointed, but on the return LAX-HKG it was there and similar quality to what it was before.
Generally I found that the quality of the breakfast main course served on TPAC flights has improved since pre-Covid.
HKG-LAX I asked for a hot chocolate around 5 hours before landing and they had run out. Not a big deal and I had something else instead but I'm just mentioning this as a data point.
A minor complaint, was that I was sitting towards the back of the cabin both ways (HKG-LAX was a last minute AM upgrade at check in desk and LAX-HKG was an op-up) and with the newer style of plated service, there was quite a bit of lag between those at the front getting meals vs those at the back. However, I would actually say it's more of an observation rather than a complaint even.

Flew back from Manila to the US in February, and they did not have the burger at that time, just the pulled pork sandwich. It was good, but i must admit I was looking forward to the burger as a mid flight snack. Glad to here it is back!
