changing FF number on cx website

hello - too long since i've used or flown on CX. but i did a redemption booking using my AM.
I'm trying to change the FF number over to my BAEC Gold one - but can't seem to do it. Has CX removed this feature now (used to be so easy on their old interface)

EDIT: ignore the above, i managed to find the part to change the FF program under "select my seat", "to-do list". Weird to be buried in there. But now, it does not seem to let me select a seat for free even though I am OWE....

Strange, you should be allowed to.
  • If you are an oneworld Ruby member or above, you may reserve a regular seat for yourself free-of-charge if you wish to reserve a seat for your travel companions you may do so for a fee.

cx customer service says they don't see or recognise me as OWE in their system and told me to contact BA to reflect this. most strange omg. any thoughts on how to fix this?

Try changing the FFP numbers again using the Royal Jordanian website, if possible remove CX completely

(really bad advice from CX customer service to say "contact BA to update the status/tier")

Just piggy backing on this thread - have realised my partner (CX Silver/OWR) can hit BA Silver (OWS) on our upcoming flights to SYD. Her CX FF is on the booking currently along with my BAEC Silver FF, but I want to change hers one to her BAEC FF to get the TPs.

We've already reserved seats
on CX for free, so would we lose these if her FF changed to a lowly BA Blue?
