Alaska US domestic business class flights code as first class?

I was trying to use Marco Polo points to book an AS BOS-SFO flight in business (US domestic first class) and it codes as international first class and thus costs 45k as opposed to 25k...has anyone experience this? Does calling get them to manually use business class rates? Thx

*Edited to highlight it was an AS flight

I don't have first hand experience myself. However, while AA domestic first has been treated as business for a few years, AS first remains first in AM's definition. https://www.asiamiles.com/en/earn-mi...irlines#redeem clearly states only F and Y awards are available on AS flts.

Yup. It seems Cathay has AS coded incorrectly as First class instead of Business...kind of like how the BA Avios program had AA US domestic business class AA coded incorrectly for years as three class First before fixing about 5yrs ago...

It wasn’t necessarily incorrectly coded it was that AA marketed the front cabin on two class flights as F. With BAEC you could also earn F tier points and avios on those two class flights. Similarly, QR still markets the front cabin on their intra-ME two class flights as F.

AS changed fare codes back in March, from FPI to JDI to align with AA when they joined OW, so it will be my guess that eventually OW airlines would treat AS Dom F as J.

I think if CX would, CX would have already done so.
