CX Boeing 777-9 suites, seats and cabins

Looks like JPA Design – who also worked on Cathay's second-gen (FB2) A330/B777 business class and more recently the A321neo, along with several SQ products – will be behind Cathay's Boeing 777-9.

That plane is of course at least four years away now, based on Cathay's most recent statement that deliveries were deferred to "beyond 2025", but we know CX already had concepts and prototypes back as far as mid-2018, in readiness for a planned 2021 delivery, and you'd imagine those would have progressed quite some distance as the cut-off date drew near (unless it already showed such signs of slipping that CX eased up on the gas)... so it'll be interesting to see if JPA's hard product is the same as CX envisioned a few years back, or if it's an evolution/modernisation (eg new materials, constriction techniques) based on the established principles of that CX product, or if CX has actually given JPA carte blanche to do something totally new.
