Just had a read on Routes Online and the following charter services are published:

My wild guess is that some Finance or IT company (reading from India / Singapore and on the exact same day) decide to move some internal event from HK to MFM due to recent unrest, which would have spread across the normal schedule if it is in HK, then change to MFM to run the event so CX offer to run a charter for them instead.

In both Taiwan and US POS, as of now, all classes in Y except X are open for reservation.

make sense. Since they need to get the crew and frame back to base, might as well sell the flight. If they sell J I will ticket immediately. Whole day J almost zeroed out.

Those seats, as you see, are blocked. Given the "special" nature of this flight and the likely low load, it's hard to say whether CX will actually open us those J seats or will just put everyone in Y.

Just tried to recheck seatmaps on EF and seems like the flight is not longer operating for passengers. I guess the 4 flights will be flown back empty
