CX connect to MK in BOM

Hi all - I am having a separate ticket with CX (HKG to BOM) and Air Mauritius MK (BOM to MRU), with six hours layover in between.

Anyone knows if MK is an interline partner with CX such that the baggage can be checked through and whether CX will be able to issue the BOM-MRU boarding pass at HKG?

I am a bit worry that BOM does not have MK staff when I arrive and if CX has not issued my BOM to MRU boarding pass, I cannot go through transit security.

Called CX but they said they had no info on their end.

Surprised to see that CX cannot check bags to MK but can issue tickets on MK flights. Not sure if this is a database error, but I would not be optimistic.

Code:
W/*CX*MK
CX-160 CATHAY PACIFIC AIRWAYS/CATHAY PACIFIC AIRWAYS LTD

   MAY ISSUE TICKETS INCLUDING
       MK-239 AIR MAURITIUS/AIR MAURITIUS

CANNOT CHECK BAGGAGE NO AGREEMENT ON FILE

Easier to connect to a GDS and print out a boarding pass than to pay MX to handle luggage aircraft to aircraft in a small African island.

Thanks for both replies. I just called Cathay Pacific and was confirmed by two agents that CX has an interline agreement with MK and can check the bags through to final destination (so perhaps the database is not up to date )

However there is one question which CX cannot answer. Ground staff are usually required to check if passenger has a valid visa. For my case I wont have a visa since I want to transit (rather than go into India). However since I have separate ticket, can CX accept MK ticket as evidence that no visa is required? One of the CX staff said since I have the onward ticket CX wont need to check my visa. The other said she did not know and asked me to contact HK immigration. HK immigration said this is more of an Indian issue and asked me to call Indian immigration.

Seems so much uncertainty. Finger-crossed everythings will be fine.

This is more straight forward. You didn't mention your nationality so I'm going to use HKSAR passport as an example, since HKSAR passport holders also cannot enter India visa-free. It is pretty clear based on TIMATIC (the database used by all airlines) that if you hold an onward ticket within 24 hours and transit in BOM, you don't need a visa.

Code:
TIM
OK TIM
