Angry Rebooked onto a lower fare class

Just got an email that one of my flights has been cancelled, immediately called Cathay Pacific to rebook it. They were very helpful (thankfully), but they've rescheduled the flights onto a lower fare class? My original flight was class B but they moved me to a class L (83 miles vs 650 miles). Should I be calling them again to fix it? Or is there nothing they can do.

CX should credit AM and CP according to the original ticket. Check with them.

Alright, I'll give them a call... More CX incompetence. Looks like I might Move Beyond them soon... :/

trust me, they do that very often. and when you book BA economy flights as a tag on to CX flights, they almost always book into these low fare classes.

Just fly with what you have, and claim the miles for the original itinerary later.

What is you CX segment on? L or B?

Flybe isn't OW, so the "fare mapping" doesn't have to be 1:1. I.e., L class in BA is same as L class in CX, but for flybe L class may be equivalent to B class.

But the Flybe flight is a CX codeshare, so in that case B should still line up to B...

My CX segment was EY R but upgraded to J.

I called CX today, they said to just send an email to their MPC email alongside my membership ID, booking ID and the tickets, and they'll put the missing points/miles in.
