Baggage Allowance for *G on CX Codeshare
Flying PEK-HKG-SFO, with PEK-HKG on Air China but Cathay flight number and HKG-SFO on Cathay metal in Y. Do I get 3 bags (2 bag normal + 1 extra bag for *G) or only 2; and if Air China lets me check 3, is there a possibility Cathay will ask me for money in HKG since they don't honor *G benefits?

Your baggage allowance will be CX's standard allowance (2x50lb) for sure.
Your *G baggage allowance will not apply in this case.
If you truly want *G baggage allowance, fly UA.
