Finding Cathay Award Availability

I heard that BA website is the best place to look, but it doesn't have HKG as even an option. Where can I find flights? I want to use AK miles.

BA website certainly has HKG as an option and I believe you meant AS miles.

Hi all - different but related question, I currently have a J award ticket on Cathay in early October BKK-HKG. I need to move my departure up a day, but there is zero award availability (not unprecedented).

What IS weird is that on my current travel day, plus every day going forward for at least a week, there are 5-6 biz seats available (seen via BA/QF). On the day I need to change to (one day prior), plus all the days the week before that, there are ZERO award seats in ANY class.

Any other examples of total blackouts like this? If so, does it ever change closer to departure? Thanks much.

Oct 1-7 is the golden week holiday in China, and many will return home via HKG on Oct 7 +/- 2 days
