CX Cape Town performance

Cathay is going to fly three-times-weekly to Cape Town from 13 November 2018 to 18 February 2019. Anyone knows how's the sales performance for this new route? Is this route currently popular?

When i have flown HKG-JNB-CPT there are an awful lot of familiar faces connecting on to the domestic connection. Going from Europe CPT is a much more expensive destination than JNB so i expect they will do well with it although its surprising they're not operating it as a tag on from JNB.

Is CX performing well in its CPT service? Any chance this flight will become year round rather than seasonal?

Its not doing as well as I hoped it would be...but I think they have the belly (cargo) to make up for some of it

at least they seem determined to bring this route back next winter, and in internal communications have said this would alleviate some of the loads out of JNB where they have no expansion plans.
