AY is also increasing frequency and will offer double daily by summer 2019, though it is not a direct apple-to-apple comparison, it certainly adds pressure on CX as leisure travelers may not mind transiting in HEL.

Good point. I'm not sure how extensive their marketing and PR efforts were in Denmark/Copenhagen, but from what I could tell there was little to no marketing across the Malmo Region/Southern Sweden which makes up a big portion of CPH pax.

There were (digital) posters inside CPH airport. But that's the only CX presence I saw in CPH.

The big money is in corporate deals though - don't know how successful they can be in corporate marketing when these "agile" routes are only 3-4 days a week.

Heard recently from someone in CX that the cessation is only for winter at this point and CPH may be back.

Wasn’t the service always seasonal and this cessation is the service not returning for next summer?

It is also removed in the recent issue of Discovery magazine.

I dont know. I just know some at CX think the cancellation is temporary.

It was indeed, and to be honest I do not see the market being there for two competing carriers operating HKG-CPH.
