Checking bags between connection

Hi guys, I am tempted to book a SGN-HKG-LHR but one thing I'm not quite sure (even tho fairly certain that is possible), I plan to have a 10 hours (or more) connection so I can go back home in HKG and get my luggage to check them in at HKG while traveling HBO on SGN-HKG. All will be on one ticket and sadly no stopover is allowed for that fare. My thinking is surely it doesn't make a difference wherever or whenever I checked the luggages in right? Would be on the first or second rotation of the day from SGN (arriving HKG at 10:00 or 15:05) and the mid-night HKG-LHR if that helps.

Also has anyone done a back-to-back at SGN? I would be fine staying overnight at SGN anyway.

Your acronym use is quite interesting. Anyway you can check in additional bags at the connection, subject to total baggage allowance.
