Are there other flights that are departing around the same time the Cathay Pacific flight is departing? I’m just trying to determine whether or not customs to get OUT of Colombo with a 00:40 departure will be crowded since I’d like to spend the least amount of time at CMB possible.
AFAIK, CMB is one of those airports with plenty of midnight departures. It's not like CX is the only one. But just look on the internet to confirm...
Just show up 90 minutes before and cajole your way go the front if there is a crazy line.

I had (falsely) assumed mostly the M3 were giving service to CMB so it picked up around 5-8am in time for Middle East arrival times. But wow, midnight is a terrible time to depart. There’s tons of traffic out of CMB. Almost every 5 minutes flights are leaving. I guess you learn something new everyday.
