I assume it will mean a continuance of the status quo since myself and another FTer were flatly denied access to the SA lounge at JNB on Thursday and directed to the BA lounge across the hall.

Oh really, I thought F passengers had access to SAA lounge...

According to the CX website..

Having been to the SAA F lounge in JNB when flying EK all I can say is that you really havent missed very much, it was like a throwback to the 1980's in their a small room with chairs and booze. The BA lounges in SA are much better in my opinion, even the Premier Lounges (using Priority pass etc.) seem a definite notch up from SAA.

That is the dummy F lounge (which SAA sells to other carriers). The real F lounge is very nice, covered in wood paneling and has a dining room that is equal to the Pier. But it is hard to get into.
