Going to CDG: CX or SQ?
As we are planning a French vacation, we would like to start off by taking a comfortable flight with the best airlines. CX and SQ are the only 2 that I can think of now. How crowded are CX and SQ flights to CDG these days? Whose's Biz class product is better on this route? Will I be able to shower at any CDG lounges upon arrival considering that both flights arrive very early in the morning and aren't quite sure if such service is available during the hour? There seems to be some snow flurries falling in the Paris area according to the forecast as I am writing this. Hopefully there won't be any by the time we arrive. People in Paris are not accustomed to snow and CDG grinds to a halt when the runways are snowed in like it did a year ago.

Personally, I prefer Cathay Pacific as an airline in premium cabins as I find their service to be more genuine than Singapore Airlines.
As for the seats, both CX and SQ offer top quality sleeper seats in First and Business Class cabins.
Since you will be travelling via Hong Kong, you will get to experience CX's The Wing or The Pier lounges which are considered the World's Best and I am sure you will enjoy your experience at this fantastic lounge facility.
On the other hand, SQ's lounge at Changi Airport is of sub-standard quality when compared to CX's lounge facilities in HKG.
After all, the choice is yours but I believe you will enjoy the services and facilities of Cathay Pacific more. I fly on both of these airlines and as a tough critic of the airline services, both these airlines of top quality.

That's not exactly what rejunivated asked!
If you have taken neither airline, then it's really up to you where you are going to connect with the possible flights.
Both airlines offer superior service over other airlines. The only exception I can think of that is a competitor would be EMIRATES.
Anyway, neither SQ nor CX have lounges at CDG that have shower facilities (arrival or departure). SQ departs from the dismal T1 and CX although nicer at T2A, the lounge is better but not much.
The weather has been great lately.
The sales have started too!
