Meals on CX253

Can't get a seat on either of the later flights in (I) class, so I have to take this from HKG-LHR. As it's a day flight, are we served Lunch or Dinner? Need to plan my day accordingly.

Thanks

I assume that it is the daytime flight...

A full meal will be served right after takeoff and then a simplified dinner will be served prior to arrival.

I wrote a detailed report about the F service on this flight from back in 2002.

Here is the the link:

It is toward the end of the report, so scroll down if you don't want to read the whole thing.

Bottom line, I would choose this flight over the night flights anytime. The service is great. As Carfield said, you get a full lunch service after takeoff and a dinner, which features an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. OF course, there is a separate menu for snacks. Even though it is a day flight, you'll get a duvet and the pajamas.

Take it, you won't regret it!
