Looking for Feedback on CX 505

I'm booked in J on CX 505 on Dec 21 from NRT to HKG. Kust curious about dinner selections and other service tidbits. Would love to get some sleep, especially since we're coming in from JFK to connect with this flight.

Thanks.

CX 505 is a pretty popular flight -- it is usually operated by a Boeing 747-400 with the new Business Class (usually... there may be chances that you get the OBC), but the service is usually very good -- a full dinner service including a Japanese meal service with two course, and then the full cheese board & fruit plate, and dessert.

Enjoy!

I just flew CX 505 ten days ago in F. Dinner was salmon appetizer, great onion soup with a choice of 4 entrees and bread and butter pudding for dessert. Will be posting full menu under trip reports later this week

The Japanese meal is pretty good on this one too. Paradoxically, the Japanese meal is better on the HKG-NRT leg than the return. Also, everytime I've been on this flight, it has been B-OLD, "Old Rattler", with OBC, and (gasp!) 9 channels of video and audio. But in F, they'll give you a nice selection of tapes to put in the pre-Betamax in-seat video player.
