Which Lounge to use at LAX?

Just became MPC Gold. Last time I flew via LAX I was silver so had to use the CX lounge, when waiting to fly to HK, which was nothing to hang in the Christmas tree. Questions:
1)Since I am now One World Sapphire can I use any One World lounge regardless of which actual One World carrier I am flying? In other words if I am flying CX can I use the BA Business Class Lounge?
2) If so which lounge would you recommend at LAX in the international terminal?

1) yes under most circumstances

2) the one in Hong Kong. Hate to break it to you, but they all stink. You will also have a hard time because they only open for short periods of time around when the flights depart. Basically, there are three lounges. Might be four, since I dont know what lounge EI uses, but I assume they use one of the ones below. The BA/QF first is nice but small and unimpressive. It overlooks the departure area below. The CX, which is a horrible green color. The BA/QF/LA biz, which is spacious and bright, but the windows are high enough so that you can't see out without standing. They overlook the jetway between the north runways and the south runways along the back of the TB term. None are anything to scream about but they arent anything to write home about either. Whether they can be hung on a Christmas tree, I dont know. I have never tried and I dont think my tree was big enough anyway.

It means that LAX doesn't have a Oneworld lounge that is worth looking forward to.

Are you flying AA to LAX to connect to your CX flight to HKG? Then you should use the new AAdmirals Club.

There are no arrivals lounges at LAX (possible exception of UA but I've heard that they have shut it down). You can use the AC if you have a borading pass for a departure that day from T4. Otherwise security will not allow you to reach the lounge.

That's why I am confused. I would be coming into T4 with AA domestic flight and CX leaves from Tom Bradley Intl. There is not an AA Admirals Club in Tom Bradley so how would I enter the one in T4?

Your AA domestic flight arrives at T4 and for domestic flights the arrivals and departures areas are combined. You can walk to the AC by gate 40 without going through security. Once you leave T4 you cannot get back into T4 unless you have a boarding pass for a flight which leaves from T4. Only international flights have a separate arrivals concourse in the US (as in most countries, but I suppose there are few domestic flights in HKG).

No. 6,
Sorry if I am a bit slow in getting this because I have never used the AC lounge before. Are you saying that I can access the AC lounge in T4 because I have a boarding card for a One World flight in T.Bradley or that I can access it because I came off an AA flight in T4? Just want to understand so I know what to say if the AC lady protests. Thanks!

If you are traveling first or business class, you get access to any oneworld lounge at that airport on that day before that flight.

You will get off a domestic AA flight in Terminal 4. Because there are no customs from a domestic flight, you will be in the terminal with all the departing pax. If you go to the Admirals Club with your biz or first boarding pass, you technically can enter, even though the flight departs out of the bradley terminal.

First, this is assuming you have a boarding pass. Second, this is assuming that they follow the rules, which they don't always do.

As usual, there is one exception. If he is coming of an AA Eagle flight, he will not be allowed back into the terminal (and AC). There are guards stationed right where you get off the shuttle bus from the commuter terminal (in T4) to check for onward AA boarding passes.
