Operational upgrades ex-SFO ?

just wondering, anyone has experience getting an operational upgrade ex-SFO with CX, as an oneworld elite (non-MPO) ?

I know at HKG, they are very good in recognizing oneworld status and following the order in doing op-up's...CX DM, CX GO/1W Emerald, etc...do they do the same and recognize oneworld status at the outports, in particular SFO ?

The flight SFO-HKG I will be taking in a couple of days is currently showing"F3 A0 J0 D0 I0 Y9 B9 H0 K0 M0 L0 S0 V0 N0" with ITN...and I am booked in D and BA Gold...

of course, I know the chance isn't really that good as Y is not sold out yet, and I really shouldn't expect too much...and of course I would not talk/ask about it at all and would just wait quietly...but I just want to hear any experience ex-SFO only...thanks !!

It all depends on what class you're booked on. Bear in mind that preferences will go first to CX Diamonds, Golds and then other Oneworld emeralds.

Its always nice to be upgraded but one shouldn't expect it.
