Probably still doing the HKG-LAX runs once in a while. I saw it sitting on the tarmac in HKG a few weeks back!

According to the Downloadable Timetable from the CX Website, CX will start flying an A346 service between Sydney and Hong Kong from March 30, Replacing the current Airbus 330-300 service. Schedule information is as follows;

CX 101
Dep HKG - 2345
Arr SYD - 1050+1
Stops - Non-stop
Operates - Daily
Effective - From March 30
Meal - Dinner, Breakfast.

CX 100
Dep SYD - 1510
Arr HKG - 2230
Stops - Non-stop
Operates - Daily
Effective - From March 30
Meal - Lunch

On the other hand, the current Boeing 747-400 service between Sydney and Hong Kong will be replaced with an Airbus 330-300 service beginning March 30 aswell.

Cool! I finally get to have a chance to enjoy a new aircraft. As a hard-core aviation fan, I can't wait to experience that long-body. Also, it's even better of a news that 744 is getting out of this route. I love the 2-4-2 layout of airbus fleet. (of course, that's for Y-traveller!)

The news of only Airbus aircraft operating the route also makes me happy, no matter what class I fly in. As you said, Y has
2-4-2, and now every seat in Business Class is either window or aisle (no dreaded middle seat)
