Access to the booking system

How can I access CX booking system ? I need to get through Swiss Travelclub free tickets, U class, and it would help if I could check in advance the availability. Is there a Galileo, Amedeus thing ? sorry I don't know much about those !

You can try by calling CX directly themselves and just say that you'd like to check on award availability.

Unfortunately you cannot access award seats on CX flights on any CRS system. Only the airline systems have access to that inventory.

THanks, but I was wondering if CX would want to do that, as it is for a Swiss reward ticket ? Anyway, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

I've used Qualiflyer miles a couple of times on CX. I called the local Swiss office and they were able to get availability very quickly - I seem to remember once it was while I was one the phone and once within minutes. But it does/did involve some sort of specific communication between Swiss people and CX - it isn't just a subclass on a booking system. The Swiss office in HK was always happyto check a couple of dates for me, but I wouldn't want to push them to do lots.

As I understand it, the CX/AsiaMiles award allocation is different, and AsaiMiles agents won't be able to see the Swiss allocation.

Swiss TC tells me that anytime I make a CX request they have to wait fo a reply from CX. They can't give me a reply instantly and laways ask that I call back "in an hour" or so.

I've been with a reservation for 9 days now, with 4 CX flights and 4 LX flights, and I still have 2 CX flights on "wait list".

Anybody knows if wait-lists on reward tickets get confirmed after a while ? I've been calling each day since last week and it's always the same answer :-( NB = wait list for a HKG-BKK and a HKG-CDG flight in U Class.
