Seating Layout in 1st
Am in the process of booking a honeymoon this summer from LAX - Singapore. Set up the reservation last night with AAdvantage miles and can get 2 seats in 1st on the 747. Am trying to figure out seating before I execute on the tickets. They told me we could get 1 A/K where the cabin starts to converge at the nose. Anyone know how far apart the 2 seats at the front actually are -- i.e., could we hold a conversation?

Seats 1AK are great for honeymooners :
on the way over , you can share your
honeymoon fantasies with folks in 2AK...
On the return , you can share your sweet
memorable moments of your shoppings in
Singapore . !!!

Rows 3 and 4 Center seats would be best for Honeymooners, where they could hold hands and even play 'footsie' without anyone knowing!
Row 1 is seperated by the aisle and holding hands, smooching, etc would not be convenient! You would have a feelng of having 'lost your lover'!
Oh yes, sharing bites of food or feeding each other would not be possible in Row 1!
That row is for sleepers and people, that prefer isolation!

Why is it that couples traveling keep asking for non-paired seats? This is a recurring theme on flyertalk. Seat 1A/K are well separated (about 2 feet apart) but have the extremely rare feature of having a forward-viewing window. There are only 2 other seats that have a better view (and the captain isn't allowing the co-pilot to auction his off).

i have the same question
middle seat for row 3/4.
if you reserve row 1, you had better show your other half the seat map and ask for opinion first
