CX BKK Lounge

I will be traveling CX from LAX-BKK. the flight arrives at 10:45 am. My next flight is a 5:30 pm flight from BKK-BOM, which although on CX, is booked on a different ticket/itinerary. As an AA PLT/OW Sapphire, I believe I have access to a CX BizClass lounge during my trip. For those who have been through BKK:

1) Can I access the lounge without having to go through immigration and customs (because I have two different tickets LAX-BKK and BKK-BOM)?

2) Can someone tell me what the lounge is like (shower facilities would be fantastic!).

Thanks for your help!

there are no shower facilities and there are many 3 computer terminals for internet access.

after it's recent renovation, it's quite comfortable BUT there are no windows so all you get is artificial lighting. the food is okay.

i would recommend the QF/BA lounge - showers + great view of the runway.

Thanks for the tip! What is the procedure to get to the QF/BA lounge? Do I just show my AA PLT card? Can I take one guest?

Simply show a same day Oneworld boarding card and your OW Sapphire card at the lounge entrance and you can enter with one guest. You might be able to get CX at LAX to generate a boarding card for BKK-BOM, and you should certainly be able to check your baggage through.

Add to what christep said, if CX can't get a boarding pass for BKK-BOM, they will most likely be able to do so at HKG and along with it should come a lounge invitation.

At BKK, you don't need to go out of passport control and stay in the sterile area. They have a foot massage parlor near BA/QF's lounge. (Your transit time, it looks to me, is enough to get out and get a two-hour traditional Thai massage in downtown, though. )
