Cathay or Quantas?

Should I fly Cathay or quantas in Business class to bankok? Quantas routes through Sydney and Cathay through Hong Kong. It is part of a One World award.

Cathay is better in terms of service and you would have more choice of flight times from HKG.

Qantas (without the U) may be less costly the Cathay (CX).

Depends what you want, meaning price, comfort, schedule choice?

I prefer CX.

It doesn't sound like there will be a price difference-- if it's part of a OW award?

I think CX is the choice-- based on my experience last month on both (in F.)

And, if by some chance the CX flight in question has the new CX Business Class, I would think that would make the CX recommendation more definitive.

I think the flying time via Australia will be longer though. Plus do you have any intention of stopping in Australia at all?

Routing through SYD is an extra 5500 miles and at least 10 hours.
