Diamond, Now What?

After flying way too much in the past 8 months (and with some help from the tier bonus), I made Diamond recently. Since it's so tough to get on CX, I'm trying to figure out what might be "different and better" than gold. I can see that I'll get 1st class lounge access and can bring a couple of guests, can get confirmed reservations within a short period, and I'm guessing, will be first in line for any upgrades that might come about (I fly economy sometimes). Are there other things I'm missing. It was a lot of time in the air, so I'd like to maximize the benefits, if there are any others! Thanks......

You should also get an extra baggage allowance for trans-Pacific flights. There is also a 20% discount for treatments at The Elemis Day Spa at HKIA.

If you are on a trip in the U.S. on AA you can access the Flagship Lounge on any fare.

There are hidden perks that are not advertised. Best for known DIAMOND card holders to advise us. I haven't reached that tier yet.

The extra-baggage for Trans Pacific is benefit also available to Gold, so it's not of particular interest for you now. How about guranteed seats? Does this mean you are not subject to inventory control as long as there are avaialble seats? If so, I guess this is pretty good stuff!

1. no op upd unless flight is full, it that case it becomes 'sure upgrade'
2. enter the (J section) of the wing anytime, whatever airline u travel, with a guest [and all CX lounges around the world]
3. 2 guests to F section of the wing when travel OW
4. some fee waiver when u change 'nominee' for redemption
5. discounts on elemis spa, and other CX merchandise (i thk)
6. F-class priority lugguage handling, i.e. 2-4 minutes before J-class priority arrives
7. guarantee J seats and Y seats (24 hrs i believes) this is perhaps the most valuable perks -- 2nd is the wing access when flying non-CX

otherwise, not much incremental benefits, esp. if u always travle in the front cabin

there are no hidden perks as alluded to above.
see https://www.cathaypacific.com/download/eng-mpoguide.pdf
for the benefits of Diamond membership.
What is of more interest is, what happened to Invitation membership ? in the old days a couple of years back when you reached 2 million kms you were made a Lifetime member. Well they did away with that and replaced it with "Invitation Member" Having flown more than 2m kms and being Diamond for 4 years and MPO for 22 years, well I do not even get an invite to their Christmas party.
