CX to Colombo?

Hello everyone

As part of a Oneworld Explorer ticket, my family and I are booked on CX from HKG to CMB in Business Class in Dec.
However, since the terrorist attacks on Colombo airport at the end of July, CX has withdrawn this flight.
It looks increasingly unlikely that the flight will be reinstated, especially in light of further expected cutbacks after last week's attacks in the USA.
I've phoned CX in London to find out details, but no news as yet. Does anyone have any further information on CX operations to CMB?
Thanks

Salt.

My input was about two weeks ago, before the terrorist attacks, from an agent at the Wing lounge, who called someone (I assume -- in the flight schedule unit) to check it out.

CX was planning to reinstate the service in the winter timetable, sometime after late October but they have not yet determined exactly when.

This service is not at all heavily demanded. Given the impact of last week's attacks, I really wonder it will ever be reinstated, too.

Thanks Chiangi- I heard much the same today from CX in London.
Apparently CX are operating the flight upto BKK (it used to continue on to CMB). Already ticketted passengers travelling onto CMB are being protected on UL, but no further bookings can be made on CX between HKG and CMB at present. It is a real shame that this has happened, as apart from having family to visit there, CMB was a good'un for mileage on the Oneworld Explorer ticket.

The latest timetable I got the other day does not list CMB but CX does seem to have reinstated the onward leg out of BKK to CMB.
