notiFLY

Not having a cell phone operator in Southeast Asia I can't use the GSM version of notiFLY. But, my phone can receive short emails. Unfortunately, Cathay uses a long sender address, a long subject line, and starts the message with thanking the customer for using the notiFLY service. The result is that just a few letters before getting to the point (arrival or departure status) the message is truncated.

It seems like a trivial thing to shorten the subject line and to move the "thank you" to the end of the message, which I've suggested to them twice over the last several months. So far, nothing has changed.

Is there any known work-around, that I can use for now?

I've had the same problem, I currently use a Nokia 9210 and have to pick up the email message every time I get notification, all pretty slow but it pays to be sure with the current situation at CX... Let's hope they listen to your suggestions....

This has now been fixed. And, the restriction to Southeast Asian GSM operators for SMS notification is gone as well. Works very well, both email and SMS.

Thanks CX!
