YVR-???

After CX begins the hkg-jfk non-stop, is there any information or speculation as to whether they will continue the yvr-jfk route? Or possibly change it to another American city like Miami, Chicago, Dallas, or WashDC?

CX said they'll continue with 888/889's current routing of JFK-YVR-HKG when the JFK-HKG n/s starts, at least for now. JFK-HKG flights can be quite packed in the back and the 343 to be used on the n/s route is configured for low density cheap seating.

the non-stop is a new flight #. i.e. 3-4 more flightd/week from JFK on a smaller plane.

888/889 will not be changed (assuming the pilots situation does not change)

i think CX wanted to fly to ORD/IAD for a long time. it is the US Govt who prevented them from flying to these ports
