Best CX accumulation programme?

My mum and her SO are switching FF program after reaching lifetime top tier on SQ (and extremely disenchanted by it). They're flying P class SIN-HKG-LHR r/t on CX next week. What's the best program to earn bonuses (any on right now other than the N.America-HKG one) with for CX premium travel as well as redemption? I imagine it isn't BA worldwide. Asiamiles? AAdvantage? Any suggestions?

If your mother and SO has already gotten Solitaire LIfe on SQ< they might as well go for the Marco Polo Club on CX. The ONLY problem is that the program is only linked with AsiaMiles and they have a crappy award schedule.

There isn't so much as promo now on CX on any program except for the AA promo but which you must have a North American address and originate from NA to HK, and the 6 sector in F/J class for an additional 10K bonus after that.

Any of the oneWorld partners can give you options. But if it's maximum miles you're after, then take Swissair's Qualiflyer program. They award x2 for First Class travel.

Celestar:

Thanks.

I know Asia Miles (and Passages) is <term used to honour the inventor of the flush toilet) and so do they. So SR's program would be the best to join in terms of mileage earnings AND ease of earning award if one is flying CX?

Another note, they're starting to fly MH to the U.S. Also like UA for all the freebies that are thrown at them. I guess theyll use that for * A.

Yes, on Swissair's Qualiflyer, you can accumulate MH flights in all classes as well like on CX. Also, if you also happen to take Qantas from anywhere in Asia TO Australia, and within Australia, you cal also accure mileage.

I use my points mainly on upgrades on Cathay from J-F. The ONLY problem is that you must attain TravelClub status on Qualiflyer before you can do that! You can only upgrade from economy to Business if you're just a regular QUaliflyer member.

terenz,

Are there two different Solitaire levels in SQ? I know that the normal Solitaire level has to be renewed every year, but is there a lifetime one?

BAGold

so it seems PPS has a lifetime. At least that was my mum's SO's reason for staying with SQ until he got it. Now he goes MH or whoever has the best F/P deal.
