Does anyone know what routes from the U.S. to Hong Kong have beds in 1st class now?

I heard reports that flight from JFK to HKG via YVR had the beds already. But it was never guarantee. I think most YVR flight got the sleeper seats, but not the LAX yet. SFO will not get the sleeper seats because CX uses A340 (same with YYZ). However, CX says that the installation will complete by June... The European flight (HKG to Europe) had them already... US is next... then, Australia...

Some of LAX flights got the beds. The days are not even a guarantee - depends on the flight patterns. Officially it will be May for LAX flights (CX 880) and July (CX882). Vancouver and NY will get theirs also around May/June.

As CX can only progressively install the First Class seats (nicknamed Betsy), a sure way is to call CX to check which date has the aircraft flying that route. Not which day as each day might be different until CX officially launches that route to have Betsy flying on it.

My cousins got to try Betsy yesterday on a flight between LAX and HK. It was the old aircraft until literally 24 hours later when they received a message to say that due to aircraft change, they were reassigned to sit together at 3D/G. So it's an everyday changing situation.

Note that SFO will not be offering the Betsy as that route is being flown by an A340-300 aircraft.

I would suggest you do not fly CX until they have installed the seats. They have their 2 billion profit and are charging top dollar for less than top dollar seats. Take BA or QF until they put them in. Of course by that stage BA will have sleepers in Club World.
Looks to me they are feathering their own year end bonuses at the pax expense and are teeing up the airline to be sold off with a healthy balance sheet to the Chinese for big bucks.
