Issue W/ Reissue Availability
I'm trying to change my ticket from SIN-HKG-LAX to SIN-HKG (STOPOVER) - LAX
I'm bumping SIN-HKG a couple days earlier. My original fare class is available. However, it is not on HKG-LAX. Agent told me that she can't rebook me because I need to cancel both segments in order to change to a stopover. Is this true? If it is, and I cancel the segment, will it come back in E a few moments later?

Sounds correct.
When you add a stopover, the ticket needs to be re-fared. Before the change, you are fared as SIN-LAX, which HKG as the connection (tax and surcharges only). With the stopover, you will be priced as SIN-HKG-LAX-SIN.

Depending on the travel, some travel can't be ticketed in a particular fare class.

Looks like a Married Segments issue... the LAX-HKG and HKG-SIN are booked as married segments, thus needs to be cancelled/changed together. It will not very likely that the canceled E bucket would go back to inventory if there is few W seats left (but again, not sure)
