CX Bookable Upgrades & Crediting to another FF
Hi,
Has anyone had an experience of booking into I Class with a bookable upgrade and then crediting into another FF scheme i.e BAEC ? Does anyone know if this can be done ?
I raised the query with MPC earlier and after being put on hold for 10mins I was told that the bookings can only be credited to MPC. I'm sceptical if this is correct so wanted to run it past the forum. I was looking to use them to upgrade into I on HKG>BOM>HKG which only nets 50 points roundtrip with MPC but 280 points if I can credit to BAEC.
Thoughts ?
Thanks,
Bluebird3000

Forgot to mention... When I spoke to MPC I'm told if I credit an I class bookable upgrade to another FF it will only credit to the original fare class. In my case that would be M economy class for an I class ticket. If this is the case bookable upgrades will not be much use to me. I'd prefer to fly another carrier in biz class and get the full quota of FF points for a cheaper fare than CX. I hope someone has had a different experience
