CX check-in at JFK

Booked a redemption from JFK-HKG.

Is it right that I can't use the BA desks? Used them last time but they're saying to use the Cathay desks and naturally they don't open until 5:30pm.

What about security? Queue up with the other few 1000 people or can I use the one near the BA desks.

You can only check-in with the operating carrier, so therefore you will have to wait for the CX desks to open.

The Fast Track lane opposite BA First check-in is for BA and OpenSkies premium passengers only. There is another Fast Track lane adjacent to the regular security screening area, which will bring you out conveniently next to the Galleries First and Club lounges.

When did they change the policy that OW premium pax can no longer use the premium lane adjacent to the BA F check in?

Generally you wouldn't want to get to JFK too early anyway.

I always liked that lane. Even though it's a further walk to the lounges, no body scanners.

Exactly. When I went through the other day, there were IB and CX pax using it without any issue...

I have bookings for May on CX, any reason why they are still showing T7 on the website?

I imagine incase of delays or other logistical issues. They can always update and inform passengers closer to flight dates.
