Using walker for elderly

I've got a friend traveling with their 100 year old grandfather. He uses a walker to walk from bathroom to seat. CX is saying that they don't allow walkers (4 wheel type) on board. Does anyone have experience? They are all flying in F and he has 1A on 77W.

But on CX website says they can bring walking frames on board.

Combined both - you need one without the wheels.
