Regular tags as in those where you write your name and address? Is the beige option new? I've only seen dark green ones.

Here you go . |
Got a green one at DUS last week. Never seen that beige thing before...
|
The beige one is available in HK Airport Counter
|
JFK and YVR were both the new beige tags.
Check in at both ports now have the tall, solid colour signs. Gate at JFK also has the tall, solid colour signs while YVR has the small solid colour signs on top of the black pylons. Boarding sign at YVR for F, J, and Elite is mostly red and says first, with a tiny blue strip that has business on it. |
They updated the presentation of the meal tray and packing of utensil. However, I had my pasta today, but they only offered me a spoon. I requested replacement twice, it still only comes with a single spoon without knife and fork. I understand the way they save cost and being "environmental friendly", but this is ridiculous.

I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but I prefer the cardboard like ones on most airlines similar to the one below. Much easier to write on.

I got the greenCX one at YYZ and the beige one at HKG.
Personally, I prefer the green one, More dramatic. However, since the vast majority of carry-ons (and even checked bags on many flights) seem to be black, the beige may stand out and provide better contrast. Still, "beige" anything is underwhelming.

AC switched from the light blue tag color that is the same as the aircraft to the white and red with large Maple Leaf. AA seems to have both types available depending on which airport you are at (as I've included below) And then there are airlines that have mildly dramatic sticky tags to designate the carry-ons have been approved for carry-on (lol) (apologies for the lighting) EDIT: Just found the BR, WS and DL tags. Maybe I fly too much. . |

I'm pretty sure the next luggage tag "update" won't be something like what QR is offering for J and F passengers....

In Russian airports security would not normally let you airside unless your bag has one of these tags (unless it's really obvious that it's a cabin size bag).

Unfortunately, different airlines have different rules as to dimensions/weight etc. even within the same alliance. U.S. carriers reduced their dimensions, so what is accepted on AC and LH is not on other carriers. Other issue is while BR has nice, bright tags and applied them in a civilized manner, AC brought out the bag police which caused no shortage of mayhem and fights and attracted the buzzing bees of the national media. Epic circus. Lasted for months. More than once. There is an entire thread on AC devoted to the topic. There is another thread with the names and types of carry-ons that fit the requirements. There were AC top tier status flyers who were freaking out over whether their bag would be "caught in the net". Nuts. P.S. for sheer amusement, I posted this collection...my way of sending a message to the bag police lurking at AC counters everywhere . |

OK, now you've moved into the realm of the personalized tags we receive. That's a whole other dimension from the pedestrian everyday ones. :D (Or at least for the photo, the F and J ones look like the nice hard plastic ones that usually come with status. |

Like shown here... http://img.hisupplier.com/var/userIm...cturer_240.jpg You can get them at the J / F check-in counter... EY counters don't have them :p |
