Frequency from MAN

Hi there, a couple of newbie question re CX.

Having never flown with Cathay before, we are planning a trip to Asia next year and have decided to give them a try as the direct flights appeal to us rather than going with the likes of EK etc.
I see at this time, there are only four flights out of MAN per week.
Are there any whispers on the inside whether this will will go daily before April 2017?
The reason I ask is, being a teacher, i am stuck with certain dates I can fly and the yomp down the LHR for the daily flight seems a bit of a ball ache with the internal BA connection, but realize the pros are CX lounge etc.

Also, I see there are some cracking deals in J at the moment but those prices seem to stop at 31st March 2017. I know it is pretty much twelve months away, but pricing our route from, MAN-HKG-SIN. DPS-MAN comes back at approx 4250 per couple on random dates from Aug through to March.
This then jumps to Approx 24k in April Booking class is I then jumps to J in April. Are there any CX experts who may have an idea if April 2017 onward will drop at all?

Apologies for the long winded post and please be gentle with your replies

Thank you in advance
JT.

CX have said they want to increase to a daily service when spare aircraft become available. With 12 A350s arriving this year, maybe by next April they will have found some. The current days are quite good anyway? Leave Manchester Saturday lunchtime, return early Monday morning after sleeping overnight.

They probably haven't loaded all the fares that far in advance yet, particularly if it stops abruptly at the end of a month. 4k is certainly the normal fare range.

We're still on April 2016 ! Fares are not loaded till at least 11 months out... and 'specials' can be had all over the place... not just from MAN (the pesky APD ruins it for many)

Given the choice, I'd rather fly on the likes of QR over CX.. as their service and catering are better.

You have to be slightly imaginative when you want to save... 4250 on CX per couple is high...

I can do less than 3000 all in with a little imaginative planning.. in Business Class and probably on the dates you want..And to save around 1000 , I'm sure the schlep to another airport is worth it, don't you think?

Thanks for the replies folks.
Considering its 11+ months out, all options are still open. We are leaning toward a LHR departure with the shuttle down from MAN as this will give us about 11 hours or so extra in HKG.
Pros n cons from both MAN and LHR but will keep looking over the coming months.

Have a look at AY. I have used them regularly from MAN via HEL to China in the past. The flight from MAN to HEL is 3 hours and a bit of a bummer. However HEL is a delight and 45 minute connections have never been a problem. Compare that with LHR!
