CX251 or CX237 to LHR?
Apart from the different departure times and perhaps different seat configurations, are there other differences between taking these two flights from HKG to LHR?
I read in older posts that 251 is LHR crew based and so the service is not as good. I just wonder if this is still true recently.
Both 251 and 237 J class costs the same in my case and I will be arriving on a Sunday morning whichever one I take. If the service of 237 is usually of a higher standard, I shall opt for this one. Initially I considered taking 251 because the J class cabin is less full.
Thanks.

I would go for the 251 for the longer sleeping time. By the time you're airborne, fed and can think about sleeping it will be around 2am, which is manageable. On the 237 it's more like 4am and not long before your body clock is waking you up for the next morning. I dislike a lot of the late European departures for that reason, I'm always shattered when i arrive.

251 - UK based crew, 4 class 77W
237 - HK based crew, 3 class 77W
I mostly choose 251 as UK based crew provide better service,
The 4 class 77H is less private if you sit in the main cabin (12 rows),
but it is excellent if you are in the mini cabin.

CX255 is primarily London based crew however last time I flew it was mixed based (ISM/SP/FP all HK based whilst all BC are London based). I generally found London based crew the best one out of all the outport crew.
For all my US bound flights I would only fly on HK based crew operating flights as my experience with SFO based crew (primarily 872/873) weren't exactly great! But each to its liking.

Well go off what your booking page tells you as they may be changing the times but CX237 currently goes at 0140 on Sundays.
