How does the Riyadh flight survive?!

How does the Riyadh flight survive?!

I took HKG-RUH yesterday and while it was packed in Y, I was all alone in the minicabin and there were at most 8 others in the main business class cabin. For my return out RUH it was not much different initially and then I changed to DXB-HKG for the return and that too is very light up front.

And for how cheaply one can buy NA to ME on CX, they must be hemorging it on these flights. I'd be surprised if there is even $800 allocated to the HKG-RUH segment.

Don't get me wrong, I really appreciated the CX seat comfort, but they sure seem to need a plane with more Y and less J for this route (maybe these routes) if they cannot get paid business class bookings up.
